The confirmed public release date for Grand Theft Auto VI is Thursday, November 19, 2026. The U.S. PlayStation Store Standard Edition listing shows November 19 at 05:00 UTC; the Ultimate Edition listing shows the same timestamp. This is an official storefront release timestamp, but it does not establish one playable unlock hour for all platforms and regions.
Rockstar, PlayStation, and Xbox confirm the date and console platforms, and Rockstar has announced November 12 preloading. Check the live listing and countdown in your own platform account before planning a launch session.
For the live date marker, use the GTA VI launch countdown. For buying checks, use the official where-to-buy page before trusting third-party listings.

What Is Not Confirmed Yet
- Universal unlock hour A U.S. PlayStation listing timestamp does not confirm the same playable hour for Xbox or every region.
- Regional unlock differences Storefront timing may differ by country, account region, platform, or retailer.
- PC unlock timing PC is not treated as a confirmed launch platform here.
- Subscription availability Game Pass, PlayStation Plus, or GTA+ launch access should not be assumed without official wording.
How To Check Your Own Unlock Time
- Open your actual storefront Use PlayStation Store or Xbox/Microsoft Store while signed into the account region you will buy from.
- Compare the listed date Confirm the listing says November 19, 2026 for your region.
- Look for preload or playable timing Treat the platform store as more relevant than reposted countdown images.
- Check edition wording Standard, Ultimate, digital, and physical code-in-box paths may have different purchase and preload details.
Why Your Store May Show A Different Time
A storefront may show a local time or a UTC timestamp. Check the countdown and unlock notice inside your own PlayStation or Xbox account, then confirm the time zone before planning a midnight session.
This also protects buyers from fake early-access claims. Unless Rockstar or a platform storefront says otherwise, GTA6Lookup treats early-access windows, PC launch-time claims, and one-size-fits-all countdowns as unconfirmed.
FAQ

- Should I trust retailer countdowns? Use them only as shopping aids. For facts, prefer Rockstar, PlayStation, Xbox, or Rockstar Support wording.
