Planning storage or a launch-day download? Rockstar has announced when eligible digital preorders can preload GTA VI. The final file size is a separate question.
Rockstar says players who preorder digital versions can begin preloading on November 12, 2026, ahead of the November 19 release. Final install size, exact download size, and a universal digital unlock hour are not established by that announcement.
Short Answer
Preload: November 12 for eligible digital preorders, according to Rockstar's June 24 announcement. Release: November 19. Storage: a final GB number is not confirmed here; check your PlayStation or Xbox store listing before clearing space.
Preload timing is not the same as an unlock time. Download and installed sizes may also differ because of platform packaging and patches.
